I found a pension application that states under
Service: B 17 US Infantry
How can I tell which unit this man served in? I've searched the name, George M. Andrews, in the various repositories of soldiers names and units.
He was very young, born in 1849 in Ohio.
The pension was filed in Illinois after 1900 by his widow.
Help, anyone?
