Hello,
I just discovered that Col. Kirby & the 101st OVI were with General George
Stoneman's Raiders in a small battle in Asheville, NC on April 6, 1863. I
have not found this battle mentioned in the battle summaries of the 101st.
Between March 9-14, 1863 and June 4, 1863 there is a gap in the 101st's
battle summary's.
Can anyone help me out?
Bill
