Message Board Post:

I'm interested in another Mobberley connection with the 116th Ohio. I have a handwritten letter from Catherine A. Mobberly, written on November 7, 1864, in which she says that her husband, James B. Mobberly, has been missing since his unit was engaged at Staunton, Virginia. From a quick look at the census, I think James might have been the son of Frederick and Lydia of Clay -- is that a county or a township? This is not my family, but I'm very interested in any information you might have on Catherine A. Mobberly, James' wife. Many thanks -- Catherine Deichmann
