I am looking for any information on connections to the above surnames. These
names will be associated with Cuyhoga County, Cleveland, OH and Achill
Island, County Mayo, Ireland.

1. John Gielty md. Celia Gallagher Co. Mayo IRE

Their son, James Gielty md. Mary Gallagher Gielty
Co. Mayo in 1878.

James and Mary Gielty came to the USA in 1880s. During processing in the USA,
their name was changed to Kielty and was kept as such after settling in OH.

I believe Mary Gallagher Gielty/Kielty had family in OH already. Her father
was Bartly Gallagher and although he did not come to USA, I believe other
members of his family did prior to 1881.

Anthony Gielty followed his brother James to Ohio around 1890. He did not
change the spelling of his name.

Children of James and Mary Gielty/Kielty were:
John
Michael
Anna Margaret
Mary
Katherine
Anthony
Celia
James

All were born in Cleveland except John b. Ireland.

Anna Margaret Kielty md. Parker Grove 1920.
parents: John B. Grove
Matilda Belcher Grove

Any information on the these families is appreciated, especially connections
that can be made back in Ireland on Gielty/Gallagher.
