I need information on Lizzie or Elizabeth Goulden or Haggerty who appears
in the 1880 census of Bedford twp, Cuyahoga Co. OH age 13, living with
Albina Comstock and her daughter Marion. Lizzie was listed as a servant
and attended school within the year. She married David Arthur Ames in
Cleveland 8 Nov 1883 and they moved to Washington State shortly thereafter.
The Ames family was numerous in Cleveland. Lizzie was Irish and might
have had an accent, so was probably born in Ireland. One record made later
in her life said her birthplace was "Corru". She was Catholic. I've been
to Bedford Historical Society and they have nothing about her.

She might have been an orphan. There is a William Hagarty, age 11 born OH,
mother and father born Ireland, in West Cleveland in 1880 enumerated with
other young boys. I wonder if he is her brother. Lizzie had 6 children
and her maiden name on their death certificates varies between Goulden and
Haggerty.
