I don't think there are any connections in these specific names. My
Caldwell's were also known as Colwell. My gg grandfather (Herbert W.
Caldwell) was born in Pennsylvania. The census says his father William
Colwell was born in Ohio, as were his parents...both unknown to me at this
point. Herbert came to Cleveland to study at Case or Spencerian College in
1883. I'm lucky enough to have his diary from that year. I've been to
Dennis Murphy's site and we have corresponded. I would recommend it to
anyone on this mailing list. Much information, and with a Cleveland emphasis.
