No problem! In fact, we no longer bother with traveler checks in Europe or
in Ireland. The debit card works just as well. You probably could have used
it in place of a credit card when you ordered. Some places we have used for
research just do not use credit cards, thus, the check usage. When we get
off the plane at either Shannon or Dublin we go to the ATM with the debit
card and get our pocket money.
Since we are in Ireland a few times a year, at least, we do have a small
account at an Irish bank and their laser card (same as debit).
