I'm not really 'new' to this list as I've been watching many of the messages posted for a few months but I don't believe I have submitted those Cleveland Irish names that I am researching, so.... here they are:

All of the names in the subject line are related either thru the Lyons or the Collins names.

John J. Collins married Rose McDonald in PA about 1889. Rose, at the time of this marriage had a daughter, Blanche Lappan, who was born about 1886-1887 in Saint Boniface, Cambria Co., PA. Rose McDonald Collins, b abt 1867 in PA; died in Cleveland in Dec 1941; her husband John J. predeceased her but I don't know where, either PA or OH, nor when. Jointly their children were Blanche (Lappan) Lyons; Sue Rutledge, Edmund Collins, John R. Collins; Margaret Burns, Mary Kirby, Catherine Hulbert, Mildred Jenkins, Agnes Hrudka and Jane Himmer. [Married names for daughters, I believe all were Collins except Blanche.]

John J. Collins was born either in Massachusetts or in Ireland abt. 1864-1865. I believe he may have had 2 sisters, Catherine (b IRE); and Margaret (b IRE, abt. 1875, died Cleveland ??) m. Bernard J. Doyle (b. abt 1875 IRE, d Aug 1835 Cleveland). Margaret and Bernard had at least 5 children, all born in OH (according to 1920 Cleveland Census): Mary A. b abt 1907; Josephine R., b abt 1909; Agnes M, b abt 1910; Bernard Jr., b abt Mar 1915; John J., b abt Nov 1916.

My Grandparents:
On 26 May 1903 Blanche A. Lappan married Michael Lyons (born Aug 1875 in PA, possibly Indiana or Clearfield Co). Michael was the son of Patrick (b. Aug 1850 in Ireland) and Hannah (b. Jan 1850 in Ireland) ?? Lyons. Michael's parents Patrick and Hannah (sometimes call Anna) both died in Johnstown, PA area in Dec 1928; and in June of 1929, Michael and Blanche and some of their younger children moved to Cleveland. I've been told that one or more of their older sons, Patrick J. Lyons (b abt 1904), John Lyons (b abt 1905) and Thomas L. (b 19 July 1907) went to Cleveland earlier in the 1920s. While in PA, the older boys along with their father worked in the coal mines. Michael died July 1942 and Blanche died 8 Dec. 1958, both in Cleveland area.

These are Michael and Blanche Lyons' 11 children (and their spouses as I know them)--All Lyons their children were born in PA:

Patrick J. Lyons (b abt 1904 in PA; died 6 Oct 1954 in Cleveland) married (1) Mattie ?; (2) Alice ? and (3) Loretta E. O'Malley (b abt 1907, d 26 June 1962 OH, see Thomas L. Lyons' wife Nora). He and Loretta had no children, but he had children from previous marriage(s): James P. Lyons (m Ilse Weber); Lavern (Bonner); Bernadette (Brennan); and Mona (Thompson).

John F. Lyons (b abt 1905 in PA, d May 1950 in Cleveland)

Thomas L. Lyons (b 19 July 1907 in PA, d 8 Aug 1969 in OH) m. Nora M. O'Malley (b 22 Oct 1901, d 21 Jan 1994); no children. Nora was sister of Loretta O'Malley Lyons, et al. and daughter of Thomas and Celia Gavin O'Malley.

Mary Lyons (b 1909 PA; died Aug 1994 in Fla) m. Lloyd Conway (b 1906, died Jan 1984 Fla); Mary and Lloyd had 2 children.

Rose Lyons (b 1911 PA; died 15 Mar 1971 Cleveland) m Ellsworth Sanger (b 27 Jul 1891 Wales?; died 4 Jun 1987 Lake Co., OH); no children.

Michael J. Lyons (b 1913 PA; died 3 Feb 1962 in Cleveland) m. Mabel Newman (Jorgenson) [b 1904 OH, d 24 Jan 1977 Cleveland, dgtr of Joseph and Lydia Mullens Newman], Mike and Mabel had 2 children; Mabel had 3 from previous marriage.

Marguerite Eulalia Lyons [b. PA, living] m. Frank D. Duffy (b abt 1904, d 29 May 1959 Cleveland, son of John V. and Elizabeth Allore Duffy); 3 children

Frances Lyons (b 16 May 1918 PA, d 1 July 1973, Perry Co, OH) m. & div. Richard T. Cummings (b 22 July 1916, d 8 Oct 1977 Elyria, Lorain Co., OH), m. ?? Marple, dates and other info unknown. Frances and Richard Cummings had 3 children, youngest Thomas J. Cummings, b 1947, d 26 July 1965 car accident in Cleveland)

*my mother--Kathleen Josephine Anne Lyons (b 23 Oct 1920 in PA; d 7 Feb 1971 PA) m. Theodore Maxwell Hane (b 25 Jul 1918, PA; died 26 July 2000 PA), had four children

Blanche A. Lyons (b 23 Mar 1923 PA, d 6 April 2001 Cleveland) m. George Beasley (b. abt 1918, d 15 Jan 1971 Cleveland) - 2 children

Joseph B. Lyons (b 1925 in PA, d 15 Nov 1970 Cleveland) m. Virginia English (d. Nov 1968 Cleveland, dgtr of Robert and Marie English), 7 children.

We also have many Lyons' cousins in the Akron area, mostly 2nd cousins in my generation through my grandfather's siblings,--the other children of Patrick and Hannah Lyons: John Lyons, b Sep 1878; Patrick Lyons, b Dec 1880; Frank J. Lyons, b Mar 1886 [m Nora Doherty in PA, d 1954 PA, no children]; James Lyons, b Feb 1889; Mary Lyons, b May 1891, (married ? Mussen), d. Jan 1974, Larchmont, NY.

Please excuse any errors I've made or dates or connections that may be wrong and use them as an opportunity to contact me and to help me correct them. I've pieced together some things I know for sure with obituaries, census info, etc. and would love to find a family connection with someone in Cleveland or anywhere else, so that we may share information!
