Again, I'd like to post a URL posted here on this board earlier, I believe
last year. It is the history of the Irish immigration to Cleveland, and
includes a section about Wiskey Island. I stayed up until wee hours of the
night, and read it cover to cover when I found this URL...... It is
book.....

The Irish Americans and Their Communities of Cleveland. It is written by
Nelson J. Callahan and William Hickey. 224 pages Info on Whiskey Island
starts on p. 56. Shantytown is first mentioned on p 85

I think this is a must read for anyone with Irish roots in Cleveland- need I
say more.....
