Check the newspapers that were published in "Ohio City" for that era.
The Irish would have lived in that area - The Angle" at that time.. Of
course St. Vincent's Orphanage might have been part of St. Vincent's
Charity Hospital that we talked about earlier this week.

You might also check with the Western Reserve Historical Society for a
listing of papers published in Ohio City and the orphanage should be
listed in the City Directory.

Your Patrick probably was hired out as a farm hand or something similar,
his being 16 he was no doubt considered an adult and no longer in need
of an orphanage.
