I may shoot myself in the head for making this offer, but I have access to a
really well-indexed edition of the 1870 census for the next couple of weeks.
Since I will be doing a lot of work with it for my own research, I would be
willing to look up others also.

If you want me to look up someone, please send me the name of the person,
his/her approximate age in 1870, names of spouse and any children that you
know of who would have been born by 1870, place of birth or suspected place
of birth of any of these individuals and the area where you think they might
have lived -- also any nicknames that they might have been called, such as
her real name was Mary Anne but they called her Minnie. Please don't ask me
to look up people unless you are pretty sure they were in the U.S. by 1870.
