Yes, there is a Clark Avenue (it's more modern name) and I do remember
a factory called A.L. Lambert. I doubt if the factory was on Clark.
Clark was mostly houses and small mom and pop stores. At West 65th.
Street - the top of Clark Ave. were the Stockyards... where the cattle
and etc. were sent by rail and then sent over for slaughter. Even today
if the ground is dug up there there is quite a smell! The street just
south of Clark - Dennison - had and still has many small factories. But
I think A.L. Lambert was a pretty large place. Maybe somebody else knows
exactly were it was.
