My Eastside Irish relatives' were Michael Francis Keyes (Canada/Limerick
roots), Mary Callahan Keyes, Alice Heffernan, Joseph Hatie, Cora Hatie Parle,
Elizabeth Stein Hatie, and Michael Parle (Country Wexford).
Know Michael Keyes (he was a building contractor with sons who were
carpenters, electricians, etc., daughter was Sister Alice Marie, O. U.)
family was insturmental in helping to establish St. Jerome's on Lake Shore
Blvd. about E. 150th Street, but don't know yet how they came to reside
there. Parle/Hatie's lived early on Percival Ave., then on Pythias near
Euclid Beach Park. Most emigrated to USA in 1880's, although Elizabeth Stein
(Hatie) was born in Cleveland in 1852 and married in 1871 at St. John's
Cathedral.
Most of my relatives are still in Euclid and Willowick/Willoughby areas of
the Eastside.
