Dear list,
I have a copy of a photo of 1334 and 1338 Washington Ave. 1334 Washington
was previously 182 Washington and 45 Washington. The photos were taken
in Aug. 1957 for tax records. According to the information of the tax
record, both of these houses were built in 1850. Neither of these homes
exists today. The location is across the street from St. Malachi's (the
north side of the St. Malachi property). 1338 Washington was owned by
Helen Finn in 1926. 1334 Washington was owned in 1867 by my husband's
g, g, grandfather Michael Clarke and passed down through the family for
3 generations until a fire destroyed it 1963. It was razed in 1965.
both houses were only 14 feet wide!
