John Andrews, a colonel in the War of 1812 had a son William born in
Washington Co., Pa. 1800. John came to this county with his son in 1803.
William married in 1837 to Jane McCullough, daughter of John McCullough and
had 9 children. Their son John was a soldier in the Civil WAr and died in
Bowling Green, Kentucky. A daughter mary married Matthew Swann and died at
Manchester, Tenn. The other 7 children were, Nancy, Margaret, Katy, David,
James, Annie and Thomas.
