Charles F. Noon
Charles F. Noon, of Norwalk, a truck driver for many years, died Friday
at Medical College of Ohio in Toledo after a short illness. He was 78.
He was born in Carey, Ohio, and had lived in Norwalk since 1941. He
was employed for 47 years as a truck driver for the Jones Motor Co. He
was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus
Council in Lehigh Acres, Fla., and a member and former trustee of Eagles
Aerie No. 711. He was also a member of the moose Lodge No. 1248 and the
Bronson-Norwalk Conservation Club.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Leroy (Charlene) Bauer of Norwalk,
three grandchildren, and his close friend Rodra Roush. He was preceded
in death by his wife, Corena, in 1966; one sister, Wlizabeth Garvin; and
three brothers, Phillip, Wilfred and Edward.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Heaston-Gerber
Funeral Home, where Eagles Aerie No. 711 will conduct a memorial service
at 7:30 p.m. followed by a Christian wake service at 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
The funeral mass will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic
Church. The Rev. David Sartorius will officiate. Burial will follow in
St. Paul's Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Stein Hospice Service, 516
Columbus Ave., Sandusky, the St. Paul's Library Memorial Fund, 91 E.
Main St., or to the M.C.O.T. (Medical College of Ohio at Toledo)
