The following marriage notice is from the 15 December 1823 issue of the
Village Register of West Union, Adams County, Ohio (on microfilm roll #
34944 at the Ohio Historical Society Archives in Columbus, Ohio). The
spelling is just as it appears in the notice. :

MARRIED - On the 20th ult. by the Rev. John Meek, Mr. Ezra Hardin to Miss
Procilla Rainey.
