BROOKVILLE MAN DIES OF EXPLOSION BURNS (dated 1944, paper name unknown)
Brookville, Oct. 19- As the result of third degree burns suffered in a gasoline explosion here three weeks ago, George Fox, 53, of 13 McKinley St. died this morning in Good Samaritan Hospital at Dayton, where he had been a patient since the accident.
The explosion occured when Mr. Fox, an oil and gasoline tank driver, was transfering gasoline from the truck tank to a ground tank. For 14 years he had been a driver for the Pure Oil Co. and five years before that for agents handling such material.
Originally from Greenville, he had resided here for about 30 years. Surviving, with his wife, is a son by a former marriage, Forest Fox, and two stepchildren.

Potsdam- Mr and Mrs. Joseph P. Robbins of Potsdam, celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary today. They will be entertained by their children, Mr. and Mrs. Goerge E. Robbins; Mr. and Mrs. William O. Robbins; Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Deeter of Dayton; Mr and Mrs. Howard Myers of Brookville, O.; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hutcheson and John Robbins of Potsdam; Mrs. Ed Hemmerich of West Milton and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Robbins of Pitsburg, O.
The dinner will be held at the Robbins home at Potsdam, and the open house will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

WEST ALEXANDRIA- Noah Beery, 76, retired farmer and Bretheren minister, died yesterday morning. Surviving are his wife; one son,John of Dayton; three daughters, Mrs. Russel Landis, West Alexandria;Mrs. C.Y. Gilmer, Conemaugh Pa., and Mrs. John Garst, Dayton; one brother,Rev. I.R. Beery, Bellfontaine; eight grandchildren and seven great granchildren. Services at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Frist Bretheren Church here. Burial in Twin Valley. (dated August 30th, 1945)

WED 62 YEARS (Dec. 22, 1945, paper unknown, has picture)
New Lebanon- Mr. and Mrs. John H. Hector, above, observed their sixty-second wedding anniversary on South Clayton Rd. They were married in Brookville and have been life residents here. Mrs. William Mitchell and Mrs. Jesse Caplinger, both of this community, are their daughters.

BROOKVILLE-Charles Adam Bitmer, 70, died Sunday at his home south of here. Services will be held tomarrow at 1 p.m. at the home followed at 1:30 p.m. at the Bear Creek church. Burial in Gratis cemetary. Surviving are his wife, Mary; three daughters, Mrs Myrtle Landis of New Lebanon, Mrs. Florence Miller of California, Mrs. Clara Holsten of Dayton; two sons, Dan, New Lebanon, and Russell, Dayton; 16 grandchildren, and a brother, Sam, of Bradford. BROOKVILLE- Mrs. Sarah Margaret Schlechty, 74, died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Hartman, Bachman. Other survivors are another daughter, Mrs. Clara Brown, Lewisburg;a son,Walter Bachman; three brothers, Aaron Detrick of Laura;Samuel of West Milton; and Dan, Troy; two sister, Mrs.Cathrine Bowman, West Milton;and Ella Harmon, Laura, and three grandchildren. (Dated Dec. 17, 1944)
