At Middletown, Ohio, on Thursday last, the little daughter of John O'Connell, living on the bank of the Hydraulic Canal, fell into the water, and was discovered by her father and mother in the last drowning struggles. The father, who was unable to swim, jumped in to save the child, and was drowned. His wife, who in turn, made a frantic effort to save her husband, was drowned as well.
