SALTCREEK VALLEY
Jas. REICEHLDERFER and family motored to Toledo last Thursday where they
visited relatives until Monday.
Mrs. H. E. MOWERY and daughter Virginia were the invited guests of Mrs.
Noah WALISER last Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. J. R. MOWERY at Warren, Ohio have returned home after a two
weeks stay with relatives here.
Chas.SCHWEITZER and family of Chillicothe were the Sunday guests of Mr.
and Mrs. Otis WALISER.
Our friend and neighbor Harry BOCKERT of the Saltcreek township
Centralized school pig club, led out as one of the winners at the Ohio
State Fair. Harry entered the club with his pig of the Duroc Jersey
Breed, some time ago his pig weighed 250 pounds, when taken to the fair
it won 7th prize in a class of 16 gilts from all parts of the state.
The Duroc Jersey pig is from the famous D. H. DRESBACH stock farm of
Kingston, O.
Mr. and Mrs. Clyde MURPHY of Columbus were the Sunday guests of Noah
WALISER and family. Arlow WALISER returned home with them, after
spending a few days at the fair.
The K. of P. Fair will be held at Stump's Grove this week, Sept. 8, 9
and 10. Great preparations are being made and some attractive stunts
have been secured. Everyone should attend.
Geo. W. COX and family have returned home from a ten days visit with
relatives in different points in Indiana. They made the trip in their
new Chevrolet car.
Miss Mabel BUSHEE has returned home after a pleasant visit with her
friend Miss Florence HEDGES of near Tarlton, Ohio.
The Tri-Co. Grange of Laurelville gave the first and second degree to
quite a large class of applicants last Tuesday eve.
Mr. Porter HIATT is raising his barn which will make quite an
improvement to his premises.
