Suggest that the bacteria that is very prevalent in the Desert Southwest,
causing what is nicknamed Valley Fever, and also carried by some birds in
the central and southeast states be considered.
A good friend and relative of mine spent many years of his life in both the
desert southwest, and central Kentucky had shown exact symptoms that you
describe.
I had heard of Valley Fever, when I lived in Tuscon, Arizona, it is carried
on the dust particles, so they wet down construction sites, faithfully. But I
had not heard of the other geographic areas that were prone to this, until
these symptoms, cropped up within the past year.
The answers maybe different, but that as a cause is not as prevalent, in
areas other than the desert, so may be less apt to be one to consider.
