Books have been a large part of my life. My wife will attest to that,

Like you said books were my first love too and I have them everywhere. I
wish I had shelves built across a wall, I have them piled up on the floor and in
every bookcase I have. There was one book I looked for, for a long time. Has
anyone else heard of "Promises in the Attic" it is about a girl in Dayton
during the flood and has a lot of story of life here during that time. I
searched for many years and had one of those book firms find one for me, they wrote
and told me they had one for $50, so I bought it, and of course as always
happens another one wrote me after that to tell me they had a copy for $20, I
bought it too. I had always remembered it being discussed during grade school
but after I got it the dates tell me it was written later then that so I
don't know if my memory is off or there is another book with a close name written
earlier then that one. Does anyone on here know of one written in the
fifties?
Sandy
