Born n BETHEL Clermont Co,Oh 1898 on a farm that almost extended into
BROWN CO [Fagley RD. Lost his best playmate-his sister-to lukemia in
1905. His mother's STONE's carried a bad form of diabetes,which caused
her to have an early strokr. He stayed on the farm nursing her 11 years.
Graduated at 15 from BETHEL High School, where he was later 8 years a

chemestry at Williamsburg, and the NEW Richmond high schools, gut also
planted the 1st apple and peach orchard of the future FAGLEY's Fruit
Farm. [I noted Sandy LEWIS saying the ADAMS Co Gen library woul be
closed THANKSGIVING, but FAGLEY's Fruit Farm stayed open til mid-day so
the Cincinnati kinsmen of the mid-ADAMS,and mid BROWN Co families could
pick up apples and cider en route home for dinner- or stayed open on
honor system]..Long a member of the Clermont Co Soil Conservation board;
of the Clermnt Co Sportsman's Club,ETC. Dad fished a ,hour or two daily
in his ponds, til he retired, then quit. He grew up in BETHEL Christian,AND
Clover Methodist church, and was later active in BANTAM Prsbyterian's.
His dad died at 88,and then because he did a young man's days work. The
FAGALY'S-Vogelei's came from STUTTGART,to Cincinnati abt 1806,and to
BETHEL,1850. Charles FOX had a Cincinnati waterfront inn-1802-12.. David
FOX II m 1814 Sarah,OF iSAAC Phillips,1814 SW Warren co Oh and died in
the 1830's. John IDEN m Mary MEDARY,in BUCKS Co,Pa,and as a Quaker,came
to ne BETHEL,Oh 1834 farm on Clover Creek reaching wihin a half mile of
BROWN CO. Hermon STONE Sr died of diabetis in NEW MILFORD,Ct 1830
era.Widow Anna TITUS Stone,and her widower brother,MOTT TITUS,and both
sets of kids to BATAVIA, Oh 1835. [Sheep-wool peple of LI Quaker
descent. ]. My father is a man of even temper and great nerves.[as was my
2nd father,by friendship,GEORGE JEGLEY]. My dad had some heart trouble in
1962 that limited his ability to do farm work. He has had congestive
heart failure 20 years-worse in 1993 than since. He has had Parkinson's
years. Tremors controled, but that great 1st in his college class memory
gone. When they retired from the farm in 1966, my parents, for the next
20 years, spent 2-4 days a week with visiting genealogists from afar,
taking them to cemetaries- court houses, ancestrial farms. Mostly of
other than our own families. So my parents are mentioned, and occasionaly
pictured,in several family genealogies. This old computer has been logged
onto on-line genealogy since XMas, 1991,an the 1st couple of years,I
would carry print-outs to my mother's bed, and,if she waas having a "good"
day, she would give me an answer to a querie,so I could reply. On more
thing -I've now cared for my dad almost 10 years, and he has been so easy
to care for. Pity those care-takers helping agaitaited eldery-my mom was
a few weeks once. They have the imposssible job.
