Subject: [OHADAMS-L] Land records 1870-?

My gg-father, Francis M. Eubanks, born 1837 in KY, moved to adams County ,
Ohio around 1863. He married Anna Elizabeth Paris and they are listed in the
1880 and 1900 cencus in Adams county occupation: farmer. I have not been able
to find any records of him other than the cencus. I have two questions.
1. How can I find any records of land he may have owned?
2. Could he have been a tennant farmer and never owned the land?, If so, are
there any records in that area?

My grandfather, Marion Stephen Eubanks was born in Buena Vista, Ohio on Mar
22, 1873. He is listed in the 1900 cencus a few houses away from his fathers
house. I have not found any records of his owning property either.
