Hello Thompson researchers.
I don't know if this will be the least bit helpful to you but here goes:

Jesse EDWARDS Sr., born 1756 , a Rev War pensioneer, who settled in Adams Co
OH very early on. (Jesse Sr died in Scioto Co OH in 1856! Age over 100! He
owned land near Rarden, and in Jackson Twp(?) Adams Co, and later in Brush
Creek Twp. in Scioto Co. He was on the 1840 Adams Co OH census. On 1850
census he was in Adams Co with the Caroway/Casoway family (granddaughter),
and also listed by himself on his land in Brush Creek, Scioto Co, OH.

Jesse Sr's son, Jesse EDWARDS Jr was born in 1786, possibly in Loudoun or
Hapshire Co VA/ or Mason or Bourbon Co KY or Adams Co OHIO.
Jesse Jr. md Sarah Prather in 1816. Jesse Jr. died in 1832.
Jesse Jr. and Sarah (PRATHER) had Mary Bently EDWARDS, born 1823 and died
1904.
Mary Bently EDWARDS married Solomon THOMPSON (b. 19 March 1818, d. 7 Dec
1893). They wee married 1841.
Mary (EDWARDS) and Solomon THOMPSON's children were:
William Allen THOMPSON b. 1842, married Eliza L. NEWMAN in 1863
Mariah THOMPSON b. 19 April 1843 md Josiah NEWLAND in 1859
Wilson Saxon THOMPSON b 1843 md Nancy Rebecca Riley abt 1880
Minor THOMPSON b 1847 md Mary CARTER 1874
Lawson THOMPSON b 1849 md Betty CHAPMAN
Susannah THOMPSON b. 1852 md William Pierce NEWMAN in 1873
Vinson THOMPSON b. 1857 md Elizabeth WASHBURN bef 1885(?)
Infant son THOMPSON b. 1861 d. 1861
Sarah Saphronia THOMPSON b 11863 md ???? MILLENMEYER
Magnora THOMPSON b. 1866 d 1944,md John Morton HAMILTON 1892

Also Jesse B. EDWARDS,( son of Jesse Sr's son Samuel therefore a grandson of
Rev. War pensioneerJesse SR,) had a daughter:
Nancy Jane EDWARDS b. 1833 (mother was Jesse B. EDWARDS; first wife, Mary
BROWN).
Nancy EDWARDS md Thomas J. SCOTT abt 1855.
Nancy and Thomas' daughter Mary Elizabeth SCOTT, married Thomas Patterson
THOMPSON in 1877. He was born 12 Nov 1853.

Mary Elizabeth (SCOTT) and husband Thomas THOMPSON had the following
children all born aft 1877---don't have specific dates)
Masha THOMPSON b aft 1877, md Este WINDLE
Artie THOMPSON b aft 1877
Jesse THOMPSON b. aft 1877
Arch b. THOMPSON b. aft 1877
Charles Raymond THOMPSON
James Denver THOMSON
Audrey THOMPSON md Anthony HAMMEL
Edward Oral THOMPSON b after 1877
There are other researchers of EDWARDS and SCOTT and THOMPSON lines in Adams
Co OH who have more detailed info about the SCOTT / THOMPSON line.

I hope that this helps someone. I am still looking for the parents of Jesse
EDWARDS Sr. Jesse was born in either BUCKS Co PA or New Jersey or
Maryland! Pension info, bio in EVANS Adams Co History, and census all
have conflicting info.

I am still looking for info on the second wife of Jesse B. EDWARDS (could
the B stand for 'Bentley'?)
Jesse SR. was my son's paternal ancestor. She was Angeline SMITH, who
married 1st Isaac McLAUGHLIN in scioto in the early 1830s, she then married
husband #2, John FREEMAN in Scioto Co. No children have been located rom
these marriages.
Then in 1850 Angeline married Jesse B. EDWARDS, a widowerer with several
children. Angeline and JEsse B. had
twins William and Mary J. born in 1851, and my son's ancestor, George Spence
EDWARDS born in Scioto in 1853.
After 1856 Jesse and Angeline and family moved to Iroquois Co IL. Several
other Adams and Scioto Co OH families already had moved to Iroquois Co IL in
the 1830's (MOORES, SWIMS) and other families related to EDWARDS also moved
to Iroq8ois Co, Illinois at the time that Jesse B. did. Need info on Jesse
B. EDWARDS and his family after they left Iroquois Co IL (before 1869) and
moved to Macoupin Co, IL. He evidently died in Macoupin Co, IL in 1860 but
I can't find burial or exact death info. The widow and children were on
Macoupin Co IL 1870 census but she and the twins can't be located after
that. (Possibly moved to Osage Co, KS??) George S. EDWARDS (my son's
ancestor) returned to Iroquois Co, IL, married and died there in 1919.
