My name is Mark E. Lowe from Lexington, Kentucky. My Lowe Family is
from the Sprigg Twp. of Adams County, Ohio. My 3rd Great Grandfather was
Eli Hudson Low of the Sprigg Twp. His old home still stands on State Rt.
41. about 4/10's of a mile over the Brown/Adams County line on the right
hand side headed to West Union, Ohio. I am E-Mailing you to see if you have
any info
on the old Zane's Trace road that covers most of the Big Three Mile Creek
along
State Rt. 41 in Adams County, Ohio. I know its a tall order, but I had to
try. The
Adams County Genealogical Society (2nd to none) has really gone out of
their way in helping me search for the next clue to my Eli Hudson Lowe. It
looks like
he perhaps had something to do with the Zane's Trace in Zanesville, Ohio.
There are about 2 or 3 remaining old Inns, or Taverns along the old
Zane's
Trace in Adams County, Ohio. I did not know if you knew anyone that comes
to
mind about the Zane's Trace history...especially in Adams County. Ohio.
