Nancy Shaw born 1776 Lancaster Co Pa.
Married James Holmes 28 June 1791 Lancaster Co. Pa.
Died 5 January 1851 Liberty Township Adams Co Ohio
Buried In Kirker Cem. Libery Township Adams Co Ohio

John and Nancy probably resided in Highland County after leaving Pa and
before moving to Adams Co. (not later than 1806) They had 14 children all
but one surviving to adulthood.
A History of Adams Co. page 566 states that Thomas Holmes son of James
and Nancy was returning from the War of 1812 when his party was ambushed
by indians and his uncle Shaw was killed.
I have considerable info on the Holmes Family. Will be glad to help any
way I can.
