Do you know of a Edward Wallace (b. Abt 1808) who married Permelia
Redmon (b. Abt 1812) in your Wallace line?

Thanks!

Four generations from Sarah, my grandmother Greta Wallace married Roy J Hawk. I am trying to find if there is a connection between my grandparents 5 generations or so before they married. My grandfather, Roy was from Highland county and I have traced the Hawk family there to a John and Susanna Hawk. According to the 1850 census they were both born early 1800's between 1803-1806, Census says they were both born in Virginia. In John I Hawk's will it stated he had a grandson John Hawk. I have been wondering if these two branches of my family, both named Hawk are related. Both variated the spelling of the last name some. Hawk, Hauke and Hawke are found some. However, Hawk is the spelling used for the majority of the last 150+ yrs. If anyone has any idea who my John Hawk in Highland Co is I !
