I'm curious as to the source for Hester being born in Nova Scotia. Her parents, Ruth Florea & Charles Thoroman, were married 14 Aug 1817, Adams Co., OH. According to Dr. Crawford's book, "The Thoroman's of Adams County, Ohio," Charles and his family moved from Adams Co., OH to Kentucky and then to Missouri. I'm wondering if somehow Nova Scotia might be a misunderstanding for Scioto Co., which a county next to Adams Co.

To answer someone else's question regarding the reference to the "3 original [Thoroman] brothers," there were 3 Thoroman brothers who moved from Washington Co., PA to KY. William remained in KY and his descendants tend to use the Thoroughman spelling. The other 2 brothers, Thomas & Samuel, moved to Adams Co., OH. Thomas (my ancestor) was the father of Charles who married Ruth Florea.

Finally, what children do you show for Charles & Ruth? I know they had a housefull of kids.

Margaret
