Ellison and my wife's Lafayette "Lafe" Mahaffey are both buried in Brush
Creek Baptist Cemetary east of Dunkinsville at Faucett. 1930's was Lafe
and
wife,Nancy Walker Mahaffey's burial. They were,I think,only distantly
related,
being from different 1798 brothers who settled on the drains of Eagle
Creek,near the
present Adams-Brown Co line. Lafe's father was a cooper at Cherry
Fork,and died in the
1860-65 period,leaving Lafe to be raised s e of Peebles by Platter's.
Ellison's Mahaffey's lived,I think,between Aid's Run and Hill's Fork of
East Eagle Creek.
He was a founder of Brush Creek Baptist,and the Ellison's were one of
early
Adams Co's most noted families.
