A John Boggess , B 6-23-1771-settled 2-3 miles sw of Bethel,Clermont
Co,Oh by 18O2. He was
a wagon maker, surveyor, and wrote wills in his Pin Hook Neighborhood,and
d 1840.He was also
a JP who preformed many marriages. His son,John S. Boggess,was a
gunsmith.
I make the educated guess that John Boggess moved indirectly to Bethel
from
near Washington's Mt Vernon estate,and that,perhaps, Thomas West and
Jordon
Harris migrated with him. John's son,Samuel died in 1832,and John S in
1869. Jane m George
Hunt,and Elizabeth m Wm Frazier,and Ann m David Altman. [George Hunt,b
1800,married
twice,and I think Elizabeth Boggess did also. Barton? Co Va is given as
John's birthplace
