He was born in 1824, was married to Mary J. Kennan, and was living near West Union, in 1847. His first born Elizabeth M., born 1847, was my gggrandmother. The family moved to Mahaska County, Iowa in 1853. The other children were Ellen F. 1850, John Graham 1852, Anning Edward 1855, Samuel C. 1859, Eva 1862, James 1869, and Will.
