There were also Flaughers living in Adams Co., Ohio. My Great Grandfather,
Ephraim Flaugher, son of William Riggs & Parthena Wilson Flaugher, was born
in Brown County 10-25-1874 and d 4-10-1927, Lawshe, Adams Co., Ohio. He
married Mary Jane"Jennie" Kennedy, Aberdeen, Brown Co., Ohio 11-14-1871, and
she was b 10-2-1853 and d 7-13-1920, Lawshe , Adams Co., Ohio. Jennie's
parents was Elisha & Debora McDonald(McDaniel) Kennedy, Brown Co., Ohio.
They both are buried at Lawshe Cemetery, Adams Co., Ohio. When "Eph" died,
he was the oldest son of a family of eight children, 4 sisters & 3 brothers,
all surviving. Ephraim's father was William Riggs Flaugher, son of Adam &
Allie Rigggs Flaugher. Adam Flaugher, Jr, b 3-4-1776, d 3-28-1859, Brown
Co., Ohio; buried Flaugher Family Cemetery. Married Allie Riggs, b 7-27-1779
and d 1864. Wm. Riggs Flaugher was born in 1823 . I would have to check my
notes to find his death date. Adam Flaugher was a son of Adam, Sr; Allie
Riggs was a daughter of John Riggs, one of the early settlers of Mason Co.,
Ky. having planted the first apple tree in Mason County ,Ky. He afterward
located to Brown Co., Ohio. Other children of Adam & Allie Riggs FLaugher:
Susan, Katherine, Rachel, Maria, Jacob. Deceased are Henry, Martin &
Zachariah.
Ephraim & Jennie went to housekeeping at Lawshe, Adams Co, & at one
time operated a hotel there. They were the parents of 7 children: Albert,
married Margaret Peterson, Emma Flaugher, married Ralph Powell Adams Co.,
Lucy Flaugher, married Jesse Smittle, Adams Co., Nellie Flaugher, married
Charles Horner, Hamilton Co., Flora Flaugher, married ? Jones, Cincinnati,
Hamilton Co., Elsie Flaugher, married Martin Bergen & Mark Knechtly ,Lawshe,
Adams Co., Ohio, and Dessie Bell Flaugher, married David Albert Frump, Adams
Co., Ohio. Dessie & David are my Grandparents, being the parents of my
Mother, Ruth Frump Adams. All are deceased, except my Mother, who is still
going strong at 88 years of age. She has given me so much family history,
names, dates, photos, etc. I have then tried to document most of them.

Flaugher I think was a son of Adam Flaugher or Jacob Flaugher who both
settled on Eagle Creek in Huntington Township, Brown County, Ohio. I`m not
sure where you live, but there are currently Flaughers living in this area
presently. From what I can tell through research, the early Flaughers and
Moore`s in this area were members of Fitch`s Methodist Chapel and a
Methodist Chapel in Aberdeen, Ohio. They we!
