You may be interested in the information at this URL. That's how I
obtained a copy of a death cert. from 1945. I did not use the county
offices;
if they're there (online) I don't know about it - but guess the county may
house the originals - do not know.

For another death certif. from 1920 I used data found at this URL:

Ohio seems to have the time periods online available from
different resources.
