Below find 1875 Personal Histories from Amanda Township (Part 2) as published
in the 1875 Historical Atlas of Allen County, Ohio by H H Hardesty & Co.
Publishers, Chicago.

written.
D B MITCHELL, son of Matthew and Hannah Mitchell, was born in Richland County
in the year 1820. Robert, Kate, Simeon, John, Torence and Hannah are his
brothers and sisters. He married Mary, daughter of Enoch and Joanna Maryman,
and sister of Mrs. Lettie Butterfield. Mrs. M.'s parents came to this county
in 1874; he came in 1854. Mrs. M. was born in Crawford County in 1823. They
have two children--Lettie and Matthew.
CHARLES GRAHAM POST, son of Charles and Elizabeth Post, was born in Richland
County, December 31, 1839. His wife was born at Columbus, Ohio, April 24,
1844. Their children are Adelaide, Harold R., Vernon B. and Corwin H. Mrs.
Post was Maria Rockwell, daughter of Elkanah and Mary Rockwell, whose
children are William, Jerome, Dewitt, Maria and Bell.
ISAAC B POST, son of Charles and Elizabeth Post, was born at Shelby, in
Richland County, June 21, 1837. His wife is a daughter of John Eunice Perry.
She was born in Van Wert County, August 7, 1851.
LEONIDAS POST, son of Charles and Elizabeth, was born in Knox County in the
year 1832, and came to this county with his parents at the age of ten. His
wife, Eliza Jane, was born in Allen County in 1830, and is a daughter of
Samuel and Mary Stewart. They have three children--Samuel A. (born 1856),
Charles C. (1858), and Edward G. (1867). Mr. Post has held the office of
Township Treasurer.
JAMES SUNDERLAND's parents, Dye and Mercy Sunderland, came to Allen County
from Montgomery County in 1820. James was born in this county in 1827. His
wife was born in Delaware County in 1830. Their children are, Jacob,
Henrietta, Charles, Mercy E., Mary E., and Jennie. Mrs. Sunderland is a
daughter of Jacob and Nancy Baker, who came from Delaware County in 1838, and
whose children are Rachel, Susan, Jacob, David W., William A., Thos. B., Levi
C., and Jemima.
JOHN F TONE married Julia Ann Andrews. Their children are Albert Lyman,
Ellen, Aurilla, Emma Percy, John Frederick, Franklin Christopher, Charles
Gustin, William Fremont and Mary Rose. Mr. Tone was born in Grafton County,
New Hampshire, in the year 1822. His parents, Christopher and Aurilla Tone,
never resided in this county. Mrs. Tone was born in Delaware County, Ohio, in
the year 1825. Her parents are Lyman and Percy Andrews. She is sister of
Sylvester, William, Sophronia, Mary, Simon, James and Delia.
