FLAG PROGRAM, by Tom Lautzenhiser
The Ashland Chapter of Ohio Genealogy will present a program by Tom
Lautzenhiser of the history of "Old Glory", Tuesday, April 18, 2006. The one
half hour to three quarter hour program will be at 6:30 p.m. with the
chapter business meeting to follow. The meeting will be in the lower level
meeting room of the Ashland Public library at 224 Claremont Ave., Ashland,
Ohio.
Tom enjoys "vexillogy", the study of flags. We are sure the public will
enjoy what Tom will explain to us and what we have forgotten about our flag
and the privilege it is to be represented by "Old Glory"
The public is invited to attend, whether you are a member or not. We
also have many chapter books for sale pertaining to genealogy and to the
history of Ashland County, Ohio. You may contact any chapter member for
information on how to purchase the books.
