I'm looking for more info on the Basford, Bassford, Bashford family
that were living in Jeromesville, Ashland Co, Ohio in 1856. I found
a bio sketch in The History of Allen County, Ohio on George W
Basford, it said that he was born October 29, 1856 in Jeromesville.
His grandfather, who was also named George, was from Ireland and he
was one of the largest landholders of the state of Ohio. I'm looking
for the parentage of Jane Bashford who married Israel Homan, 1832 in
Wayne Co, OH. I've found that Ashland County was part of Wayne
County at one time. Does anyone know more on this family or have a
biography book of Ashland County, OH that can do a lookup for me on
Basford and Homan families that lived there.
