Milton Pittinger age 42 - tailor - born in OH
Susan - age 45 - keeping house - born in Penn
Ira - age 15 - farm labor - born in OH
Emily - age 15 - at Home - born in OH
Jennie - age 12 - at home - born in OH
Harriet - age 9 - at home - born in OH

PITTENGER, IRA L., was bore in Rome, this township, Dec. 16, 1852, where he
has since resided, with the exception of about one year, when be resided in
Weller Township. He was married Nov. 19, 1876, to Ida D. Backensto, who was
born in this county, where she has always lived; they have two children-Loyd
O. and a baby. Mr. Pittenger is by profession a school teacher, which vocation
he followed in the winter season; in the summer he pays his attention to
farming; he has also followed the business of buying produce through the county
for a period of four seasons. He has never missed a winter at school, either
as pupil or teacher, since he was 5 years of age; be has taught school eleven
teems.
