Hi, Connie.
I don't think I've corresponded with you about Schoonovers before. I have
a Charles W. Hoisington, who married Leona Schoonover around 1900. It's
hard to tell where this marriage took place, as I have little information
on Charles and his father John Brown Hoisington moved around quit a bit:
Athens Co. OH, Montgomery Co. KS, Clay Co. NE, MO, NY.
I also have Louise Schoonover, who married Joseph Hamilton, probably in
IA, probably about 1870. They are in-laws to my Samuel Blocker and
Victoria Elizabeth Hoisington Johnson, who seemed to have commuted between
KS and Winterset IA between 1880 and 1900.
If you recognize these names or places, I would love to hear from you. I
think Leona and Louise may be related and would like to find out for sure.
Thanks,
Harriette
