I'm looking for documentation of the parents of Hiram Bennett, born in
Ohio in about 1830. Can anyone confirm the family infomation that
follows? One family member says Hiram's parents were married in 1826 in
Rome Township, Athens County. This may have been his familiy: his
father probably was John Bennett, mother Mercy Ann Loncor(e) AKA Mary
Ann Lonker, siblings John II, Sophrona (1831) Lorinda (1832) Catherine
(1833 or 1837?) Abigail (1839) Horace (1844) and 2 other daughters.
Hiram probably had a first marriage to a Mary Berry, with a daughter
Mary Elizabeth born in 1865. -

Our Hiram Bennett moved to Keokuk County, Iowa, where he married Amanda
Applegate in 1873, moved to Greene County, then Story County, and had
five more children: Scott (1873), Alice (1877), Elsie, (1879), Charles
(dob?) and Nora (1883).

Does anyone know this family? Elsie Bennett was my great grandmother.
