Hello fellow researchers, I know of a new family history book that I
feel will be very informative in our research. The author has assisted
me greatly with my research of my BLAKELEY/BLAKELY, LARABEE/LARRABEE,
and SNOW
families.

The SNOW & LARABEE FAMILIES OF ATHENS COUNTY, OHIO by Gerald L. Smith.
This book defines and describes five families that moved from Butler
County, PA to Athens in the 1840s, tracing their ancestors from
Bridgewater, MA through upstate NY, PA, OH, WI, etc. and following their

descendants scattered across the continent to the present day.

The book's 502 pages list over 2000 individuals who are (or were)
descendants of Seth Snow (1725 - 1812) of Bridgewater, MA. A 24-page
Introduction describes the migration history of the SNOW/LARABEE clan,
ending in Ohio (and beyond). An exhaustive Index of Names contains both
the birth and married names of all women in the book for whom we have
such information. An extensive list of Sources details the authorities
from which the book's information is drawn.

I have just received my copy a few days ago and am very impressed with
his work
and the details. It has certainly cleared up some answers to my
questions, and I know that
he would welcome any additions or corrections. The price is a bargain:
$26.00

I hope this does not go against the rules of the list, but I think this
is a valuable tool.
