This is from the Looking Backward column of the Wapakoneta Daily News on
July 6, 2000:

75 years ago ~ July 6, 1925:
Notice to subscribers: When the Democrat Printing Company took over the
newspaper business of the Republican Printing Company, on July 1, the
subscriptions lists were merged as follows:

No. 1: Subscribers to both dailies will received The Wapakoneta Daily News.

No. 2: For the present The Democrat Printing Company will continue
publishing both The Auglaize County Democrat and The Auglaize Republican.
However, where a subscriber has been taking both weeklies, his subscription
accounts will be merged and he will receive the Democrat only. If a
subscriber who has been taking both dailies owes for the Republican his
subscription to the Daily News will be charged with the amount he owes the
Republican. If he is paid in advance for the Republican, his Daily News
account will be credited with amount paid in advance on the Republican. The
same procedure will be taken in the case of subscribers who have been
taking both weeklies. His account with the Democrat will be charged or
debited with the amount due or paid in advance for the Replublican as the
case may be. Great care will be taken to prevent errors creeping into this
merging of accounts, but if subscribers find anything wrong or are
otherwise dissatisfied, we shall be glad to go over the matter with them.
