Barbara - My records say that Johann Friedrich Blanke was born April 17, 1846
in Lindorf Wittlage, Hannover, Germany. But there is also a note which says it
may be 1843. His parents were Jost Heinrich Blanke geb Blase and Maria Clara
Blank Geb Blanke. These notes are from Edith Wissman, who is the daughter of
Lester Blanke, his grandson. I have information on Johann Friedrich Blanke's
descendents, but nothing on his siblings.

Thanks for the information. I was beginning to believe that it was just a
fantasy that my ancestors lived in New Bremen, as no one ever seemed connected
to my lines!!
So it is great to have some affirmation!
