ITEM NUMBER 1:
I am researching the parents of James Hughes born ca 1812 PA, who married Sarah Ann Lucas b 31 Oct 1818, Belmont Co, Ohio in 1837 also in Belmont Co. James and Sarah are listed in the 1840, 1850, and 1860 Smith Twp Census's. James died in 1852. Sarah died in 1897. Their children were James, Angelia, Virginia, Justin, and Viola.

It is rumored that James b 1812 Pa is from the Green Co, PA Hughes family. Unfortunately, I have not been able to push back before 1837, Belmont Co, Ohio.

If anyone has any info on this Hughes family in Belmont Co or are able to link James to PA, I would pay handsomely.

ITEM NUMBER 2:
James, the son of James and Sarah Lucas Hughes above, was born 25 Nov 1838, supposedly in Monroe Co, Ohio. He married Louisa Wilcox Gatten on 29 Dec 1862 in Belmont Co, Ohio. She was the daughter of James R. Gatten and Frances Vaughn. Their children were Ada, James Boaz b 1865 Belmont Co, Frances b 1871 Indiana, Charles, Dewey, and Merton b 1879 California.

I am desperately trying to find any information on Frances Vaughn. There has been a name kicked around in the family that Vincent Vaughn might be her father. I have joined the group only to come up empty. There were other Vaughns in Belmont Co that may be siblings who married Gatten siblings. I would like info on these Vaughns and Gattens if possible.

Anything would be a help. I have been on this for many years only to hit the same dead end. I refuse to give up!
