Jackie,

When I visit the Valley, I prefer staying with my folks out in the
more rural areas of Warnock.. Unfortunately, that does not answer
your question.....

Next to the Ohio Valley Mall, just east of the St. Clairsville City
Limits, is a myriad Hotels representing just about every chain, i.e.:

Knights Inn Address: 51260 National Road St. Clairsville, OH - 43950
Phone:614-695-5038 Toll-Free 800-835-9628 Fax:614-695-3014

Days Inn-West, 52601 Holiday Drive, St. Clairsville, OH 43950, (740)
695-0100

Fischer Motel, Inc., P.O. Box 63, 43505 National Road, St.
Clairsville, OH 43950-0063, (740) 782-1715, E-Mail:

Hampton Inn, 800-Hampton, Wheeling: 304-233-0440, St. Clairsville:
740-695-3961

Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites, 51654 National Road, St.
Clairsville, OH 43950,(740) 699-0010

For further information on all the above facilities and more, see:

For something different and historical, I could recommend the McLure
House in Wheeling. It is located about 12 miles east of St.
Clairsville, just across the Ohio River from the Martins Ferry,
Bridgeport area. The hotel was recently refurbished. Complete info
at: http://wvweb.com/mclure-house/

Here is a brief synopsis of the hotel:

The historic McLure House Hotel, originally built in 1852, is
Wheeling's largest and best centrally located hotel. We are proud of
our unique place in Wheeling's history and invite you to discover the
exciting treasures in and around the area.

Hope this helps,

Ronald Jeffers

My family and I are going to be in the area on a research trip and we
were
wondering what was available for lodging. We will only be there for a
few
days. St. Clairsville is probably where we will want to stay.

Thanks for your help
Jackie
