Last I discovered a great database posted by the Ohio Historical Society. You
may already know about it but if not you need to check it out. It is the
Ohio Death Certificate Index for the years 1913-1937. You can search for a
specific individual or simply put a last name and get all individuals with
that last name. You can search for specific counties or all counties. My
mother and I have been searching for her great-grandmother who was born in
1827 and she was listed. Apparently she lived to be an old lady. Thank
goodness! We had searched everywhere for information on her but had not
found anything. So, maybe this site will help you too.

The site provides the necessary information so a researcher can obtain a copy
of the death certificate. It includes date of death, county name, volume
number and certificate number. You can find it at:
