Guess my new information isn't going to help much. Obituary of
ggggrandmother says they came to Belmont County Ohio in April 1838 where they
placed their letters of commendation with the Christian Church of Christ. Is
this the same church as Disciples of Christ. They came from Bucks Co., PA
and says also joined in Wayne Co., Illinois in 1854. Name of Amos and Miriam
Davis Smith. She was born July 3, 1803. I didn't know they needed letters
to take along. Knew the Quakers had to sign in and out, but this was new to
