My main interest is the McDONALD family, transplanted from the Braddock,
Allegheny CO.,PA area starting in the late 1870s. Some of the family were
also in the Wheeling area first. The last McDONALD, that I know of, was
a Robert McDONALD, who died in 1933 in Bellaire. He and his wife, Melissa
Jane FOSTER (1860-1900) had 5 children. Any knowlege of the 5-Foster,
Bertha, Clifford, Flora, & Esther (the last two I believe were spinsters)
would be welcomed.
Robert was a retired Supt. of the Carnegie Mill in Bellaire.

The McGOWAN limb would involve a Thomas S. who married into the
McDONALD family in 1899, in Bellaire. The parent's of Thomas was a Samuel S.
& Anna (HENDERSON), all born in PA.

The WOOD limb had 5 sisters, one of which was my grandmother, and married
(1893) into the McDONALD line. Some of the (9)children were born in Wheeling,
while
others born in Belmont CO. (children b. 1868-1888 timeframe). Most of the
children married in Belmont CO. 1893-1910 timeframe. Their father, Joseph M.
WOOD was in the glass mfg. business(shown as expert mold designer).

Willing to share and compare.
