Lyle,

The best place to start is the LDS familysearch.com and their FREE 1880
census. Since Laura Jane was supposed to have been born in 1874 she should
show up in the 1880 census.

I did check and have not found a Laura Vore. I did find a Jane Vore in the
1880 WV Tyler Co Centerville tsp census living with Ellis Vore and Hannah C.
(Long) Vore and the rest of the family. It does state that Jane was 5 and
born in OH. That is a pretty close match. Ancestry.com shows the marriage
of Ellis Vore and Hannah C. Long as 26 May 1861 Noble Co OH. The Ellis Vore
family was living in Morgan Co OH during the 1870 census so they could have
been living in Belmont around 1875. Check it out and see what you think. Do
you have a death date for Laura Jane where you could request an obit, a
death record or Social Security App? Those could definitely help as well.
