You may be looking in the wrong place for Alexander. THE CENTENNIAL HISTORY
OF BELMONT COUNTY, by McKelvey, says that Wm Patton married "Anna Clark, who
was born in 1810, a daughter of Alexander Clark, of Lancaster County, of the
Keystone State."... so, perhaps you need to look in Lancaster Co, PA....
WM and Anna were Presbyterians, if that's any help....(and, according
to this book, Wm's father was also a Wm, and WM jr was born near Belfast in
1799
